Glenn contacted us months ago with the proposal that he would take a road trip back to his roots in Madison County and put on a class as a fund-raiser for the Madison County Genealogical Society. Since retirement, Glenn has concentrated his time in studying DNA as it pertains to genealogy. He has attended conferences, hangs out with the “big names,” and won awards. For a recent award, see Jimmy B. Parker Scholarship Awarded for SLIG 2019. Read more…

“Genealogy? HELP!” Ends in April

The Genealogy? HELP! sessions have been going well.  Several have been helped through genealogy roadblocks, learned new tricks, or found how to organize their family research.  You, too, may bring your questions and challenges for free, one-on-one family history research and genealogy assistance, provided by a Madison County Genealogical Society volunteer.  No registration required – just stop by the library’s Genealogy section to take advantage of this new drop-in service.  We will continue to be available each Thursday but our last session is April 26, 2018.
