The family farm represents the traditions and heritage upon which our families and the state were built. Jared McDonald will present resources to gather farmland history, using online sources to view historic maps and photos.
The Heritage and Century Farm Programs, administered by the State Secretary of Agriculture and the Iowa Farm Bureau Foundation, honor those families that have owned farmland for 150 and 100 years, respectively. Members will explain the significance of the programs and the simple steps to honor your farming legacy.

Please mark your calendar to attend these upcoming Madison County Genealogical Society Program. They are always FREE and open to the public. A short business meeting follows for those who would like to stay.
